CROOKERS play “We Are All Prostitutes” live in Los Angeles

CROOKERS finally came to Los Angeles on Tuesday June 24th 2008 and blew us all away with a DJ set that will NOT soon be forgotten! Listen to their phat set and enjoy their classic remix of “We Are All Prostitutes” by Adam Sky and Mark Stewart. Hand’s down one of the BEST tracks ever… hypnotic bass and a message? Who could ask for more!?! Of course… my memory stick died at JUST the right moment of climax in the song… you will have to buy the single to enjoy the track fully! I can’t stop listening to it myself! Shot live at Dim Mak Tuesday’s at Cinespace in Hollywood. Come back to LA soon… we had a CROOKED good time! The track @ 3.30 is called ‘arcadia’ – apparat (boys noize remix). The track is a whopping 12 minutes (!) long, but the part here is in the first 3-4 minutes (the youtube uploads of this song cut off the first bit for some reason…)

    Hey KrysteeClark it would be really great if you could put up a list of all the tracks on the vid info, just makes it easier so we don’t have to scan through the comments to find out what a certain track is :)

    great video by the way its just a shame about the lack of drop on the ‘we are prostitutes’ i guess 10 mins is the maximum upload amount?

    @KDWproductions OMG he’s Dutch. Volgens mij kun je in NL niet zo maar een amateur radiostation beginnen.. Er zijn ook geen licenties voor, tenzij je die aanvraagt (koopt!!)

  18. johnu78 says:

    @KDWproductions

    It’s okay. I’m actually a little Dutch. :o )

    You need to contact your country’s department for radio licensing. They would be able to tell you what license you need to do amateur radio. Good luck with it. Take care, John

  19. KDWproductions says:

    The netherlands sorry for my lauguage

  20. johnu78 says:

    @KDWproductions

    Which country do you live in?

  21. KDWproductions says:

    But can you send with that thing because i want to start my own send station

  22. KDWproductions says:

    Your antenna can transmit on the radio web

    You’re welcome, I look forward to hearing how it works out for you. Take care, John

  28. ascheier says:

    @johnu78 thank you! ill report back with the results

  29. johnu78 says:

    @ascheier

    I would try this antenna and see how it works. Also change the direction of the antenna, you may find positioning the antenna north/south may work better than east/west, also experiment putting the antenna parallel with the ground at different heights, like 5′, 10′, etc. You should be able to pick up those frequencies with little problem. Let me know how it works out. Good luck with it, take care, John :o )

  30. ascheier says:

    @johnu78 Yeah. The freq’s I want are really varied, but I like UVB 76 (4625 kHZ) and voice of korea (3560 kHZ i think), i’d be happy with those! can’t get either with the stock antenna.

  31. johnu78 says:

    @ascheier

    For a shortwave receiver? If so then I’d say your chances are very good, especially at night and if you put this antenna up outside. What’s the frequency of the stations your trying to pickup?

  32. ascheier says:

    What are my chances of getting China/Korea on my Grundig G3 with this antenna?

  33. johnu78 says:

    @pogoe101

    You’re welcome. I think you’ll find listening to shortwave to be an enlightening experience. You may also want to consider getting into amateur radio. Take care, John

  34. pogoe101 says:

    Thanks for clarifying this task in this video. The video “DON’T WATCH MTV” is also good. I stopped watching TV many years ago almost completely. I mostly look for some news in the internet. I’m going to buy a cheap shortwave receiver today to check out if I can find something interesting in the radiowaves. Greetings from Finland.

    @815Sox

    Thank you for your comment.

  38. 815Sox says:

    Does anyone know if you can hook two wire antennas to the shortwave? Maybe one going in each direction like a cheaper dipole? I have tried it and it seems to do well. Another tip, tie the antenna to something outside and have it run inside. If you use a thinner wire, you can just close the door on it or something.

    This entire video is clearly thought-out and well done, good job. Thank you for this demonstration.
    Do you listen to shortwave much?
