Electric drums work through sensors that are connected to wires that run into a processor, and this processor is programmed to know what certain instruments sound like. Find out why electric drum triggers need to be dynamically sensitive with help from an experienced drummer in this free video on drums and percussion. WHY ARE THEY SO F**KIN EXPENSIVE GOD?!
“So, I can go from a resemblance of an acoustic drum kit to one I have just shat out of my filthy anus.”

NEED HELP! Hello there folks i got my starting drum kit, and brought myself a cable to connect to my laptop. Id loove to listen to music while i play my drums, but thats not yet possible for me. Do i just have to connect it and adjust some settings? or is the a program needed. Any help is appreciated. Kind regards
Stating the bleeding obvious or what?!
@oberhofedavi oooo ok. cuz i guess on this one u could adjust volume so that you don’t bother the tenants or wtvr. that’s cool i guess. thanks
would you happen to know where i could get a cheap set for ? i really dont care for brand names or wtvr but i dont want it breaking on me either, its just that im tight on money and want a kit
@anexrox well for the most part the real drum kit is preferred, since it just plays better, gives better sound, ect.. however, the electric drum kit is moreso for people in my situation, living near people who just don’t wanna hear it. If i played a real drum kit all the time, I’d be evicted very quickly
i want that kit
ACOUSTIC DRUMS?!?!?!?! YOU’RE AN IDIOT. THERE AREN’T TRIGGERS ON DRUMS YOU IDIOT
ACOUSTIC DRUMS?!?!?!?! YOU’RE AN IDIOT
@ACompetitiveHalo wow that’s pretty sad lol
@anexrox lol. there’s a lot of reasons. it could be that the guy isn’t good, or that the guy is too loud on an acoustic set, and he lives in a neighborhood. I think it’s pointless, though. spend thirty thousand compared to three thousand for a drum set with the only difference between an acoustic drum and itself being that the sound comes through headphones, not the actual drums.
just out of curiosity, why would someone buy an electronic drum set over an acoustic, if the sound is pretty much the same?
no shit sherlock
ELECTRONIC NOT ELECTRIC FFS
@bryanjel i’m not the greatest reference because I’m just starting to drum. At the same time i love my basic set, great sound and great feel. If you google images “x sound eletric drum set” it’s the first two images (red and black). 500$ plus tax is the standard retail price for that set, so as long as you can get to a “steve’s music store” a “music express” or any place that carries instruments, they’d be probably more then willing to order one for you, mine took a week to come in.hopethishelps
@thoughtsthroughsound
What did you get? And where? I live in Toronto btw. And Im lookin for a good starting set of drums
